Artist Statement

Allison Estergard is an acrylic painter who explores the Alaska landscape through abstract shapes and layers of color. Her most recent collection investigates space and movement inspired by glacial features.

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river, and he’s not the same man. – Heraclitus Everything changes; nothing stays the same. Glaciers, like rivers, are always changing. Therefore, you cannot explore the same glacier twice.
